Here is a sampling of what I have auditioned for this year and what I actually got—as you will see, the percentage is not in my favor. The new thing of putting yourself on tape, satisfies an industry or Union deal, however, it does not provide that you will be seen or not have to arrive in person for an audition, as most companies do not cast off a tape…so why the hell do they tape in the first place??? That is the question.
Auditioned for: VEEP, The Jump,Teen Wolf, Steel Justice,Once Upon a Time,The Mindy Project,Andiland,CBS Military Project,Al Capone Hotel,Agent X,The Player, Good After Bad…
Had the opportunity for several projects, but decided not to bother with an audition due to the content of the film, the character or budget involved.
There is so much more to acting than “acting”..it is a business after all and a very lucrative one for some actors, most producers and networks. In the end we actors just want you to be entertained…so enjoy the shows and stay for the credits so you can see how many people it takes to make a flick.
